At Wine Bond, we protect the privacy of all our customers, by providing anonymity, we are able to ensure everyone is treated equally and fairly.


Terms & Conditions

The following are the terms and conditions (the "Terms") under which you (a "User") are to observe for using the web site. Wine Bond Pte Ltd (the "Company") at http://www.winebond.net (herein referred to as the "Web Site"). Please read this page carefully. By accessing and using the Web Site, you shall accept and agree to be bound, without modification, limitation or qualification, by the Terms. At our sole discretion, we may revise these Terms and any other legal notice on the Website. All changes will be effective when posted on the Website. You should check this Website from time to time to review these Terms and other legal notices, because they are binding on you.

By placing an order for buying or selling of wines via our marketplace, it constitutes your agreement to all terms, conditions and notices contained herein or otherwise posted on the website. If you do not accept any of the provisions in this agreement, please do not engage the use the of the marketplace. For the Buyer

Selecting and purchasing wines

You may at any point of time select any wine you wish to purchase on the marketplace but please note that the transaction can only be done online by completing the online order form. Any request or orders by telephone, post or e-mail are not recognized.

If you choose to buy wines that are stated duty free, you will be responsible for the Customs permit, duties and prevailing GST should you wish to withdraw the wines out of bond for local consumption at a future date.

All wines listed are offered are on a first come first served basis and all orders will be processed based on the time stamp of the order received.

Limitations of liability

If any description or price of the wine is incorrect, Wine Bond will not be liable to provide that item to you at the stated price. Where we discover an error on the price of any wine that you have ordered, we will not be obliged to proceed with your order. We will usually endeavor to inform you of the error and the correct price as soon as possible. In these circumstances, you will not be bound to continue with your purchase at the new price and we will usually endeavor to ask you to email us to confirm that you wish to proceed at the corrected price within a stated time. In the event that you reply that you do not wish to proceed at the corrected price or if we are unable to contact you, then we will cancel the order. In no circumstances will we be obliged to proceed with your purchase of wine at an incorrect price, even if we have accepted your order for wines displayed at the incorrect price and/or failed to inform you of the error. You may agree to the correct price in which case we will proceed with your order.

There will be no guarantee regarding the quality of the wine, as this is also dependent on conditions beyond our control.

Payment

Payment is due in full upon invoicing. We accept payments via cheques or bank transfers.

If there is non-payment within the specified terms, Wine Bond reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee of up to 20% of the purchase amount.

Transferring ownership

Ownership of the wine will only be passed to you upon full payment of the purchase price. In case of non-payment by the due date, we will be entitled to cancel the sale. If we do this, we may sell the wine again to another interested buyer based on the time stamp we received.


For the Seller

Eligibility to sell wines:

In order to sell your wines through Wine Bond's Market Place, you must

  • Be an existing customer of Wine Bond
  • Your wines must physically be located in our temperature-controlled warehouse
  • Wines that are wholly owned by you
  • The person registering as a Seller must be the same as the person on Wine Bond's records as owning the wines in Wine Bond's warehouse (you must be both the "account payer" and "beneficiary")

Adding wines to the sale list

  • You shall be entitled to list any of your wines from your account onto the sale list through Wine Bond's marketplace. To list the wines, follow the instructions on the relevant web page. You shall be entitled to withdraw any wines you have listed on the marketplace through your online account at any time prior to a buyer confirming their order to purchase your wine. Once a buyer has confirmed their order by clicking on the "buy" button within the purchase process, you cannot withdraw the wine unless the buyer does not complete the transaction for whatever reason.

Sale Price

  • You are to set the selling price at your own discretion.
  • Wine Bond reserves the right in its absolute discretion to withdraw your wine from the marketplace.
  • You may vary the price of your wines at any time through your online account, provided it is prior to a buyer confirming their order to buy. Once a buyer has confirmed their order, you cannot change the price unless the buyer does not complete for whatever reason, e.g. the buyer's payment is not authorised or the buyer exercises their right to cancel within 14 days - see Return of Goods / Cancellation in standard terms.

There is a 30-day time limit on Wine Bond's listings at the same selling price. Wine that has been listed for 30 days at the same selling price will be removed from the marketplace and the seller will receive an email notification on the withdrawal from the marketplace.

Sale List

Wine Bond shall make the sale list available online for all its customers on the marketplace via our WIS at http://www.winebond.net. The marketplace will show all the wines you have listed for sale together with all other Wine Bonders' wines. It may be that other sellers will be selling the same vintage wine at the same time as you. Each seller will set their own price for their wine independently.

Sale and purchase of wine

If a buyer wishes to purchase your wine, they will place an order through the marketplace. We will email you to advise you of a pending order for your wine.

We will be acting as agent to arrange the transaction between the seller and the buyer. We will at no time take title to or ownership of the wine. Title will pass to the buyer from the seller on completion of the transaction. Please see bottom for the service fees that will be levied by Wine Bond. The sum agreed payable to you will, subject to being paid in full by the buyer, be paid to you within 10 working days of the completion of the order.

The order is only been deemed to be accepted once this has been confirmed by e-mail and the payment has cleared into Wine Bond's bank account. We reserve the right to refuse any order without providing any explanation.

Full Payment of the purchase price to you shall be made via cheuqe and will be mailed/ deposited in an account provided by you.

Cancellation of orders

After an order is placed for your listed wine or after you have accepted a bid for your list wines, you are unable to cancel the order or withdraw the wine unless the buyers cancel the order.

All service fee will be billed in your month end storage invoice under Wine Exchange Service.

$10,001 to $30,000 5%
$30,000 and above 3%
